In this video, we’ll be taking a look at the top 5 safety features found in the new 2017 Volkswagen Passat. 1) Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Emergency Braking: Sensors in the front of your Volkswagen can send an alert when you’re approaching another car too quickly. If you fail to brake, it will apply to brakes to help reduce the severity of a potential impact. 2) Park Distance Control: Park Distance Control, or Park Pilot, emits a beeping sound and visually shows you when you get too close to an obstacle while you’re parking. So you can park with a little more confidence. 3) Adaptive Cruise Control: Adaptive Cruise Control helps keep you at distance from the car in front of you while in cruise control. The sensors will brake and accelerate to help keep you at your set distance. It also works in the city in stop and go traffic, so you can have confidence that your vehicle has your back, and your front at all times. 4) Lane Assist: When moving, the lane departure warning, or Lane Assist, can sense if you start to drift into another lane without using the turn signal. On most models, Lane Assist will help steer you to keep you in the correct lane.5) Blind Spot Monitor: The sensors on the Blind Spot Monitor feature are able to sense what you might miss. When driving, if you attempt to change lanes, the Blind Spot Monitor can help alert you to other cars that may be in your blind spot. Thanks for watching!
