Today we’ll have a focus about the spectacular infotainment system of this car Now, we get two screens The first one in front of me, 12.3” The second one looks like a TV, is a 15” display The fantastic thing is that when they’re off, they look like one giant unique display Let’s turn them on Nice It has millions of functions As you can see you don’t get physical buttons in this car for, like, A/C and radio You only get a rotor for the volume and the On/Off infotainment button The air vents are below the screen And the A/C buttons are on the lower part of the touchscreen Right now we’ll have A/C on because it’s damn hot today Let’s discover it, let’s press the function, let’s say, of the temperature We can choose it right here We even get the type of A/C: Delicate, Medium and Intense Sorry for the noise Let’s get it lower Clicking on the various parts, for example, on Clima There are options for the windshield Other options for the direction of the air, towards the feet or the body Here’s a slider And you use it to increase and decrease the air flow Then we have Air Care, a system for purifying the air If purifies air from fine powders and pollen, a very useful feature for people with allergies A thing I noticed before is that, when I approach to the screen with my finger The car detects it with the proximity sensor and activates the various buttons It’s cool! The car detects it by itself! Other functions: Navi of course Let’s click on the mega map I can insert New Destinations, My Destinations I can choose among day view, night view and automatic view Of course this car has Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink Sadly we can’t show you them today, but I guess you already know them Phone, right now it’s trying to connect with Bluetooth Choosing among various devices So you can use your phone, even from the steering wheel We also have media We can choose the source: Bluetooth, USB 1, USB 2, SD and obviously the Radio Talking about USB ports, the car has four of them, two in the backseats One inside the armrest and one down here There are also a 12V socket and a wireless phone charging system A useful feature is the availability of LTE cards, so you can have access to the internet in your car Other features are about the parking
controls and sensors Talking about the seats, we have the heating system We can also use the comfort features to move the various parts of the seats Millions of way of doing it! Let’s have a better look at the virtual cockpit and the steering wheel The steering wheel has two sections One with many car controls, the distance from the car in front The cruise control settings It also has the lane assist, the usual systems On the right we have the infotainment and media controls Let’s take a look at the main menu Here is the main menu Many functions: maps, audio, phone, vehicle status, offroad, trip infos, assistance If I choose map, a little map will appear between the rev counter and the odometer Below you get informations about water temperature, trip infos The distance from the vehicle in front of us Lights for lane assist and cruise control On the right there’s the fuel gauge Up here there’s a compass The road signs reading system And also the temperature outside So right and left are the two virtual dials, but if we press on View Odometer and rev counter disappear, and go all the way to the right On the lower left part there’s the gear indicator The whole virtual cockpit is occupied by this huge map If I choose Phone, the space is occupied by the phone controls This is the vehicle status, right now it’s ok so the car is ready to start Then the offroad modes, right now is shown the angle of the steering wheel Then there’s the voice command ”Take me to Bari” And the car automatically inserts the address This car is AWD So it obviously has the offroad settings If I click on this rotor, a car appears with the Driving Mode Selection Eco Normal In Eco Mode the car has more eco settings for A/C, steering wheel and traction Normal settings in Normal Mode, let’s see Sport Normal settings for A/C, Sporty settings for steering wheel and engine Then there’s Individual Mode where we can choose every single setting as we like Let’s see Offroad There’s Auto Mode and then there’s Expert The offroad aficionados will be able to set every single setting for going offroad as well We are not able to do it, so let’s leave it to the VW technology in Auto Mode Then Snow Mode, you’ll be able to drive more safely with snow and rain, also useful for starting the car In order to have a soft start, the car will automatically drive off in 2nd gear Let us know your thoughts about this infotainment system And also about these two 27” total
