Inno Roof Bike Racks Review – 2015 Volkswagen Passat – etrailer.com

In Volkswagen Passat

Today on our 2015 volkswagen passat we are test fitting the inno fork lock three bike carrier part number for that is I n a 391 as you can see we do already have our bike on our carrier we’re going to show you how we mount the bike and secure it and also how we secure the bike to the crossbars and some features of the rack itself so we take a look back here you can see we do have a strap holding that in we want to make sure that we put that strap between the spokes of the bike so it doesn’t of the wheel excuse me so it doesn’t damage those up here we have a ski rolling in the fork up here to release that you’re just going to lift up on that cap and release that lever there so to take our bike down first thing we’ll do is undo our strap here when I hang on to our bike release that skewer and pull the bike right off now you should always reconnect your strap whenever you’re done so you don’t get any dirt or debris in the grooves there also if you had a different style frame a larger style or smaller style you can always turn your skewer left or right and that’s going to tighten or loosen the skewer there and the nola lock around your bike we also have three bolts here two on the front holding the crossbar this back one here is tightened by this lover it’s got a square nut on the on the bottom there that’s going to lift up and tighten that down across the crossbar and makes it secure and then we’ve got our locking cap here in the back we have a plastic bar here with two screws and two thumb screws here to release those you’ll just turn one way to loosen and one way to tighten and the front one you can just pull out you don’t have to loosen all the way it just slides right out makes it easy and and it makes it easier to pull off of your car and also easier to store so you don’t lose any small pieces so that’s going to complete our look at the no.4 clock three bike carrier and how it works on our 2015 volkswagen passat let’s see how it does in the test course here on our test course we’ll start by going through the slalom this is going to show us the side to side action which simulates turning corners or they once we get to the alternating speed bumps we’ll see the twisting action this will simulate hitting a curb or pothole or driving over uneven pavement once we get to the full speed bumps we’ll see the up and down action this will be just like driving in and out of a parking lot garage or driveway you
