Gritty design and characteristic elements, the new Volkswagen Polo GTI will be on sale from next March. The fourth generation of the more “spirited” Polo fits to the top of the range model, changing not only in design, but also in mechanics. It’s powered by the 192 HP of the new 1.8 turbo engine, which replaces the previous 1.4. In Italy it’s available only with automatic dual-clutch seven-speed DSG which, combined with front-wheel drive, allows the compact car of Wolfsburg to take from 0 to 100 Km/h in 6.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 236 Km/h. The style is of a true sports car: exclusive bumper, radiator grille and headlights with typical transverse strip red, custom spoiler and 17″ alloy wheels. If someone is not yet convinced, Volkswagen Polo GTI is available on request with trim Sport Select (electronically controlled dampers), with Sport Performance Kit: just press the button to get a sportier calibration for different parameters. In short, the new Polo GTI continues the story of the powerful compact cars began in 1985 with the Polo G40.This is just the latest step, in waiting for the next… .
