Today our 2012 Volkswagen rattan we will be test fitting the thule pulse XL rooftop cargo box that’s part number th615 now it offers a 16 cubic feet of space comes in a nice matte black finish so with the vehicle that we’re working on today already has factory rails installed I would like to point out that this book this cargo box will fit most roof rack systems so we can go ahead and lay our box up on top of our rails first thing we want to do is we want to make sure and line up where our clamps are going to come out over our bars so that looks pretty good there and we can go ahead and scoop the rest away on alright let me make sure that’s centered up there now one quick thing I’d like to point out is that we want to go ahead and favor the side of the vehicle because we can only open it from this side so we’ll get it as close as we can where it’s still on our bars okay that looks pretty good another thing we want to do is we’ll make sure it’s always slid forward so will clear our rear hatch so now we can go ahead and open it up okay inside we’ve got our clamps so you want to pit position those over your load bars okay now we’ve got all those position once again we’ll make sure that our boxes all the way slid forward and as close as us as we can so now we can go ahead and tighten those down and those back there pretty good go ahead and finish these up okay once those are all tight go ahead and shut the box up lock it then we can come around to our rear hatch and check our clearance as you can see we’re but we’re able to open up our rear hatch without it making contact with our cargo box that’s going to complete our test fit of the thule pulse XL rooftop cargo box part number th615 on our 2012 volkswagen Rutan you
