Test New Volkswagen Polo

In Volkswagen Polo

We had a rare opportunity to get a car on the test, practically immediately after its introduction on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The new Polo was built on the MKB platform and it has been enhanced in all dimensions. Although retaining the basic form, by which it is recognizable, everything on the new Pole is new, and there are almost no touch points with previous generations. Visually, the new Polo shows that it belongs to the next generation cars, and the large Volkswagen Wagon in the middle of the refrigerator mask clearly indicates its affiliation, but also what we can expect from it.And we can expect a lot. In Volkswagen, they tried to prepare a car that would leave a deep mark on the market and avoid children’s illnesses that occur in new models. Nothing is left to chance. The new Polo has a dynamic and youthful look, but at strict corporate limits. On the front, a bumper with two horizontal air vents is emerged, the bottom widens, and the upper one is narrower, horizontally divided into two parts, which limit the large fog lamps. The side line is adorned with a double profile, the upper one, which crosses the handlebar, and the bottom, at the bottom of the door, and so passes to the rear, marking the tailgate and the rear bumper, with the inserted diffuser on the bottom, which gives a very attractive effect. The tested model had Bits equipment, which features black mirrors, tinted rear glasses and badges with the logo on the door poles, as well as an interesting decorative line extending over the cover of the engine and roof. Of course, the Bits package is recognizable in the interior, and the most important is the 300 Watt audio system, created in cooperation with the repertoire Dr. Dreo. The increase in external dimensions significantly influenced the supply of space in the interior. The front seats are comfortable and pleasantly profiled, and there is plenty of space on the back bench, even for larger travelers, who will feel comfortable on long journeys. In particular, it should be noted that due to the longer wheelbase, there is a lot of legroom, which is often problematic in the car of this segment. The position of the driver is very good, and ergonomic solutions are excellent. All commands are in place, making it easier to get used to their positions. The organization of instruments and the touchscreen is flawless. The choice of colors and materials, and finishing is difficult to
find a complaint. Polo is intended primarily for younger users, so much attention is paid to digitization, interactive and security functions. There must be a proactive cruise control, an autonomous braking system, as well as parking sensors for the front and rear. When driving Polo will surprise you. Due to the relatively large wheelbase, and a well-tuned suspension system, comfort is at a surprisingly high level. In addition, the hanging system will show on the winding roads that it is at the height of the task in almost every situation. The test car is powered by a one-zero TSi engine with 95 horsepower, which means it has three cylinders and turbocharging. This engine is surprisingly powerful, elastic, has a great torque and, with all this, sounds good. Thanks to the elasticity of the engine, it is not necessary to cut it too often by a well-adjusted, 5-speed gearbox. The ride open by road or highway is indifferent, relaxing and at the same time very economical. With little attention, average consumption can be reduced to just over 5 liters per 100 kilometers traveled. The new Polo in Bosnia and Herzegovina is available with gasoline engines and three levels of equipment, which directly affects the price. Thus, the basic model with a 75 horsepower engine can be purchased already for 23,889 convertible marks, while the price of the vehicle as a test would be 32,509 marks. After associating with Polo, we can conclude that Volkswagen has made a great step forward with this model, because it offers the space to which it belongs nominally by offering space and driving qualities. .
