Turn off the ignition, pull up the hand brake, pull on the bonnet release lever and open the bonnet. You can now see the diesel filter which is located in the lower left hand corner of the engine compartment. Using multigrip pliers, compress the two edges of the hose clamp to free it from its hold. Then push it back along the fuel inlet hose. Finish by removing the diesel filter hose. Repeat the operation for the fuel outlet hose. Pull the filter upwards, while with your other hand, separate the plastic holding spurs to remove the filter easily.Compare the new filter with the old one, then insert the new filter, pushing it downwards. Be careful to position it correctly, the tubes must face the hoses. Finally remove the covers. Put the diesel inlet hose in place. Since your vehicle is not equipped with a primer pump, it is vital to pre-fill the filter before starting your car. Take a primer pump and a container filled with diesel. Connect the flexible outlet tube of your primer pump to your diesel filter. Insert the inlet tube from the primer pump into your diesel container, then repeatedly squeeze the pump to fill the filter. Stop the process when there are no more bubbles in the tube and the primer pump doesn’t pump easily.Once the filter has been pre-filled, reconnect the two hoses, inserting them up to the thick part. Using multigrip pliers, fix each of the hoses in position using the hose clamp. Operation completed! .
