Volkswagen Beetle TDI Oil Change DIY

In Volkswagen Beetle

Ladies and gentlemen we’re looking at a 2013 beetle TDI turbodiesel ejected and today we’re going to be doing an oil change and we’re going to need socket like this place this everybody including 11 thought to remove the oil filter cover we’re going to be using my trusty evacuated from the oil out so the first ever gonna do is retiring after that we can open the oil reservoir but before we do that we’ll just let the oral can flow freely when I’m evacuate in it next time then remove the dipstick next time going to put the evacuated holds down in the bottom of the pan then I’m going to start you should always keep your engine so that Israel flows easily when it’s warm then just let this sit until it’s it’s like five quarts of oil it needs to be evacuated so I’ll pause the video will be right back when it’s complete ok that sound is the sound of all the oil being so low that that’s done go ahead and oil has been the next thing to do this once again though one and one quarter it happens to be a twelve-point with actually need a five-point and the oil filter cover to cover not the actual filter filter filter element is here right here right there soon so you guys have a better view of it and what I’m gonna do understand loosen it up right now maybe a little bit of force so good but you take your time the cleanliness of that cover some kind of cloth over that to prevent the dripping off and dripping all over it took it out of the box not brand-specific further congressional ring which has just dropped and this is the first I’m gonna do is remove the old and replace it with a new one right we take off your oil cover off of your vehicle and is not all ring on it check in the housing that you removed it from sometimes your remaining to put on two of them it will leak and it will only when the engine is running think you have a more serious problem when you do so in a sense in place take a little bit of the oil from the new container of oil put it all the way around the or ring when you place the ordering and the cover back into the hole oil changed the covers off thing left to do is put the oil in five quarts so we’re going to start off by putting in for measuring and then we’re going to go from there I hate to say this but when you’re dealing with these new turbo diesel engines you need to go and get the right type of oil 5 w30 is there a grade of oil but the dealership says you know we have this special blend so I went ahead and
got the blend it’s a call me names not promoting any kind of brand or anything like that but just talked to the dealership at the rave green with a standoff dream well I’m glad when the next one and opening it containers to put the spent oil in 30 semi synthetic full synthetic w 33rd what went on my fourth quarter really takes phone calls and some of the filter housing and here’s a witch oil to call your tools out and you’re good to go
