Volkswagen’s four-door sedan styled as a stylish coupe is called the CC and for the 2017 model year is offered exclusively with a 2.0-liter turbo and front-wheel drive. The base Trend model and top-of-the-line V6 Executive 4MOTION trim have been deleted from the lineup, leaving two cars: the 2.0T Sport and R-Line 2.0T Executive with a starting MSRP of $35,340 including destination. It also features stainless-steel R-Line scuff plates and sport paddle shifters for the 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 4-cylinder turbo generates 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque on premium gas, rated at 22mpg city/31mpg highway. Other changes for 2017 include interior enhancements for the Sport model such as standard ebony trim and chrome elements while the R-Line now comes standard with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.
