Volkswagen Passat CC – reverse Park Assist

In Volkswagen Passat

Hey guys, we are in a 2011 Volkswagen CC. I would like to show how the park assist system works. There’s a button down here that you select for the park assist. And then on the display you find the image. You have to press it again to get the reverse parking mode. By default it’s set to the right side. But let’s say I want to park on the left side, so I just initiate the indicator and keep it on this side. While the car is scanning the area the display will change accordingly. So it seem that the car has already found the spot. So I just engage reverse and now the car automatically starts to set itself in the desired location that it found. So I’m just operating the brake right now. Now it is telling me to switch the gear… (I need to wait for this car to move) …and now I have to change it from reverse changes from reverse to D. Now the steering wheel will steer accordingly. I am waiting for the command to put it into reverse. So now we have reversed. The steering wheel is controlled by the software… and you can see that the scale is decreasing. You have to watch the sensors… and the parking is finished! You can see the space between one car and another is equal. Thank you! 🙂 .
